Meet Dr. Marshall Jones

Dr. Marshall Jones is the driving force behind the Police Leadership Institute. With decades of experience in law enforcement leadership, Dr. Jones has dedicated his career to developing leaders who are not only effective in their roles but also committed to the principles of integrity, service, and excellence.

Dr. Jones retired from active law enforcement to establish the undergraduate forensic psychology program at Florida Institute of Technology, where he serves as an assistant professor and director. His work in forensic psychology and organizational behavior has made him a recognized innovator in public safety and law enforcement. Through his initiative, Pracademia, Dr. Jones has continued to bridge the gap between practical law enforcement work and academic research, offering data-driven training solutions for law enforcement agencies across the country.

As a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a former police officer, Dr. Jones brings a wealth of practical experience to his academic and consulting roles. His expertise in leadership development, police recruiting and retention, and emerging public safety technologies makes him a sought-after consultant and lecturer for agencies such as the FBI, U.S. Army, and the Florida Police Chiefs Association.
